BASIC ROME Our driver will pick you up at your hotel and you'll meet the tour guide at the Colisseum. Your tour guide will bring these ancient stones to life for you. Inside the Coliseum you will hear not only information about its architecture and the amphitheatre itself, but entertaining stories of the gladiator games and the imperial politics as well.
At Fontana dei Trevi,
your guide will explain why we toss a coin into the fountain. This
baroque style jewel, familiar to us thanks to movies such as “Roman
holiday”," La dolce vita” and “3 coins in the fountain” was built in
1735 to commemorate the restoration of the Virgin water aqueduct.
Saint Peter's Basilica
Highlights include the Pietà and the magnificent dome by
Michelangelo, the Baldacchino by Bernini as well as other monuments
of artistic importance like the Saint Peter' Statue and the
incredible mosaics. Hear the story of the Popes and of the world’s
largest Catholic Church.
To end our tour in Saint Peter
Square under the magnificence of Bernini’ s colonnade.
Strict dress code is applicable at the Vatican. No shorts and
shoulders must be covered.
Visit inside St. Peter Basilica is not possible when there are
religious celebration or papal audiences.
